He was tipped to be the one to design Kate Middleton’s wedding dress, designed dresses for Princess Diana and is renowned in the bridal industry. Now you will get the chance to gain an insight into Bruce Oldfield’s experience as he will be joining the Niemierko Wedding Academy this October from 3rd to 7th October. I’ve previously mentioned the Niemierko Academy as a new concept in wedding planning and with the next course taking place in October, if you’ve been thinking about signing up now is the time.

On the 5 day master class Mark Niemierko will be sharing his trade and style secrets to all budding wedding planners (or existing planners wanting to gain new skills and inspiration) but a special guest will joining him on day 3 during the style and attire portion. Bruce Oldfield will take part in an intimate one off Q & A session alongside Mark and you’ll also get a private view of his current Bridal collection.  To sign up to the Niemierko Wedding Academy or find out more information and prices then visit www.niemierkoacademy.com or check out their new video http://www.niemierko.com/newsletter/2011/09/video.html

While most of your guests will be happy sipping prosecco or wine, make sure you don’t forget about the guests who don’t drink alcohol. Serve them up something more exciting than soft drinks and water, and why not try lemonade as a refreshing alternative.

These vintage inspired serving ideas would be a great way to display lemonade at the reception. Choose pink or plain, and serve them in glass jars or large glass drink dispensers. Try visiting vintage hire shops like Savoir Weddings or Vintage Style Hire  to source props  like these for your wedding.

With the famous Nottinghill carnival just around the corner I am loving these wonderfully fun, eclectic and bright carnival inspired weddings. It is such a whimsical theme and perfect for a summer wedding. To capture the spirit of a carnival it’s all in the details for these weddings from mini candy floss desserts, balloons, bunting, vintage style ticket stands and photo booths and a retro candy buffet. Check out this wedding designed by planners Amorology as featured on Green Wedding Shoes or this one for some fab inspiration.

I have long been an admirer of wedding planner Mark Niemierko who has been credited with the title of Britain’s top luxury wedding planner. Working with some of the top designers, venues and florists to create stylish, show stopping affairs Niemierko now imparts his knowledge at his Niemierko Academy. Wedding planning is an industry I would love to break into and the Niemierko Wedding Academy certainly looks as though it could give you an excellent starting point.

Held within the Dorchester Hotel, Mark Niemierko along with other leading industry professionals take students through a five day intensive master class covering all aspects of organising a wedding. Limited to twelve students per class and suited to both beginners and experienced wedding professionals, you’ll come away with the contacts and skills to ‘become wedding planners of quality in the future.’

An inspiring hands on course,  it covers everything from budgeting, bridal fashion and beauty, planning as well as flowers, mood boards, tableware, furniture, lighting and entertainment. The next course is scheduled for October but you can register your details at niemierko academy.
