all in a row…

This gorgeous wedding reception caught my eye for its unusual seating arrangement. A lot of brides and grooms are dispelling with the traditional seating arrangement of a head table for the bridal party for a more relaxed layout. I doubt many venues would have the option and space for a seating arrangement like this but it sure does look super stylish under the canopy of fairy lights! What type of seating arrangement did you go for?

Perhaps you were lucky enough to receive your engagement ring in a coveted little Tiffany’s blue box, but even if you didn’t why not include this gorgeous hue in your colour scheme. Did you know that the Tiffany Blue colour is actually protected as a colour trademark by Tiffany & Co and its Pantone code 1837 derives from the year of Tiffany’s foundation. This does not stop you incorporating this robin egg blue into your wedding. Play it up with other shades of blue like this pretty table setting from Martha Stewart Weddings or simply complement it with ivory for a chic look.

I know Christmas has been and gone but if you recently got engaged and are thinking of a winter wedding, some of these ideas might help to convince you how romantic it could be. Opt for berries and greenery in your floral arrangements and give your wedding a rich colour scheme of red and green or go with wintery whites and silver for a romantic winter wonderland feel. And I simply love the idea from Etsy of the wedding invite or perhaps table setting in the form of a Christmas bauble.

For something a bit unusual atop of your cake why not go for this beautiful arrangement that I found on my favourite site, bhldn. This crystal cloche cake topper is something really special and elegant. A combination of glass pearls, vines and silver bells with a Swarovski encrusted bow, this will make the perfect keepsake long after your wedding.

Everyone knows that champagne is my favourite choice of drink and weddings are the perfect excuse to enjoy a bit of bubbly. Why not opt to serve it in a unique way in the form of a champagne popsicle. I love the contrast of taking some fun like a popsicle and making it into something elegant with champagne and these gorgeous antique silver forks. It’s the brilliant addition to a quintessential British tea party wedding taking it from afternoon to evening.

Red is often seen as a really dramatic colour for a wedding especially as it is often mixed with black or white but why not lighten it up and go for poppy red complemented with blush pink and aqua. I love this colour mix and the perfect excuse to carry a beautiful bouquet of poppies!

tiny tiny bubbles…

Isn’t this wedding table simply stunning. This is a really dramatic look and I can imagine it in a large ballroom perfectly suited to a sophisticated city wedding like London or New York. The cascading glass baubles will create a magical quality to your wedding especially as the evening in and the light catches them. This is definitely a look for the bride looking to make statement like say the recently married Kim Kardashian but only classier!
