So in our ‘research’ of traditional Italian weddings, it was revealed at our delectable food tasting when we visited Italy back in June that one of the traditional styles of wedding cake is mille feuille. We were lucky enough to sample the cake as the chef had some going spare from another wedding he had been catering for that day and I have to say it was absolutely delicious. Light, sweet and the perfect way to finish off the very rich savory and meat filled courses. To indulge in your sweet tooth without the need for a trip to Italy (although I would highly recommend this) why not visit the Patisserie Valerie.
